Nice looking boxes. As for the sideways pictures, that's usually due to the settings in your camera or phone (whatever you're using to take the photos.) There should be something in your device where you can turn on or off the EXIF setting, which determines which way is up on the picture. Try opening up the picture on your computer first and checking for that setting before posting it.

Wife has been doing gardening, putting in some new beds. She has been after me to paint our stairway and upstairs hall, which I am presently into. I was looking for a product and got into this thread! She just heard my clicking and said 'computer time is over'

My wife and I are in the process of redoing some of our daylilly beds. First thing we did was to dig all the lilies out of one side and move them to a temporary bed. Then I sprayed the weeds with weed killer. While that was doing it's job we pulled the old rough sized rocks out of the walkway and used them to line the sides of it. Then we smoothed out the ground, laid weed fabric and put a 4" layer of pea gravel down. I have used weed killer on the empty bed three times now and it has just about got all the weeds. There are some stubborn ones that call for a special chemical. After spraying we will give the bed a couple weeks then we will put down weed fabric between the rows, replant the daylilies and put pine straw mulch down. After I get the beds on either side done I am going to replace the swing at the end of the walk.

My neighbor was nice and lent me his tractor to fill the containers with soil before I built the fence. I have tractor envy!

Planted vegetables about a week ago... May 8 is average last frost day here. We have never had a "real" vegetable garden before so this is fun so far.
I like the gate! Nice view of the San Juans to the South of you!

The deer never bother my day lilies. I also have asiatic lilies like the ones you posted and the deer leave them alone as well.

This started before the quarantine and finished up right as things were coming down. We've been in our place for 15 years so it was time for a facelift. Removed the tree because it was rotten, new stonework and walkway, new landscaping, lighting, paint. I'm typically a DIY'er but I had some help with this project

Before...

After...

Simple project compared to the front, but I also built these planter boxes for some olive trees in our backyard.

That looks great. I'll bet all those flowers blooming is something to see.

Verdoro 68-

Wow, big project! Looks AMAZING! Tree removal must have been a serious effort.

Wow! That looks like a different place now. Good job especially with a tree that size close to the house. That's a gutsy move to diy.

“Some help” means I primarily wrote checks to people who did the work LOL. When we first moved in I was adamant about doing all the work on our house myself, but over the years I guess I’ve gotten lazier and my wife has gotten more impatient (it took me 2 months to do our kitchen and 3 to do our bathroom).

I hated to get rid of that tree, but I like how open the front of our house is. Not sad about less raking and gutter cleaning in the Fall. The yard crew were hacking out roots for quite a while too. Amazing how spread out a tree can get in 70 years.

House tools great verdero- much cleaner and more presentable.

We have a giant Crepe Myrtle in front of our house I have considered taking out. Looks great in bloom but really over powers the house. It’s the biggest one I’ve ever seen- maybe 30’ high?

Hmmmm maybe it’s not the deer, maybe it’s rabbits, because I had a bunny under our deck, I have a perennial bed below the deck with Lily’s and I saw they were chewed off when they first came up as well as my hostas. I used deer and critter off spray and that stopped it.
