That poor Iron Duke in Fiero installation had a total capacity of 3.5 quarts. Between the valve cover, front cover and oil pan leaks and a little oil burning, they could be empty very quickly. A real shame. Not much margin for error.

We had 3 Fieros over the years. My daily driver was a 1987 2.5 5 spd. plain jane. I bought it at 129,000 miles and put another 100,000 miles on it driving 100 miles a day out the GM Milford Proving Grounds. It was mostly trouble free. I could get over 40 mpg on the freeway. I really liked that car. We had an 86 SE that was the first car for each of my 2 kids. They had a lot of fun in that car. When my son had it he probably made over 100 runs over 2 years at Milan Dragway with the Royal Pontiac Club. Racing with your kids, I don't think it gets any better. Those Fieros were a great family project.

Nope. That's a Corvette (and we all know what he thinks of Corvette owners)
Then again, it is kinda... short. |

Looks like the blame game will be played.
Sorry for the destruction, but why do people want to live in a flood plain? There is a reason a flood plain is called ................................a flood plain. According to the article, they lost 10 vehicles to a flood in 2017??? We had a town about 30 miles from here that flooded about every 6~10 years, and the residents would just keep going back. The state finally figured out that buying the town and moving the residents was the cheap way out. After they bull-dozed the town, made soccer fields, and other sports fields where the town had been. When the floods came, soccer games were postponed. But, very little damage. Jon.

I just saw on the Poncho Perfection Facebook page where Fieros Forever is giving away all parts not destroyed by the flood.
