True but I think most guys know that they'll never make a dime on a car if its restored correctly by a shop

I'm with Jerry H on this one, too. A very rare car with all the pedigree. Probably will be a loss at 115k. Sure to retain its value, if kept up, too. Not an auction guy, myself. Know a few guys that are. They are 'car guys' of a different stripe, not my style.

GT182 has it right. It's the booze, fueling an ego, served by pole dancers giving lap dances while handing the guy the booze.

Someone mentioned the red 65 winner at norwalk. My buddy flipped that car to to consigner in Arizona foe 60k He is one of the best heavy detailers around. he bought the car for 50 from the Pittsburg seller during the summer. The car won Gold at the Dayton show, even though it had some issues. My buddy bought date coded glass redid the motor compartment , redetailed the bottom.ect ect ect. The flipper, one of my buddies is simply the best. Right now he redid a 68 HO 326 Firebird Conv {red white white top} that makes the one on ebay for 45 grand look like it was tossed together. Its for sale for the same price too.! Yhe differnce between the 50 60 grand cars and the 90 100 grand is the detailing and of course the BJ auction "hype"

Did Scott definitely do this car? I love 67 Ram Air cars, but I really don't think they bring the money considering how rare they are. Then again, they are not like a RA4 where the entire engine is different and exotic. All three of the 67 motors are almost identical. Mr Mattison probably did not make a cent on the car. It takes a lot of dough to put a car into that shape, plus the cost of the car, auction fees, etc. The only guys making money were all the guys with the cobbled up 69 Judges at BJ.What a freaking joke! At least Mattisons 67 was nice!

From what I understand, Scott painted the car and Dan detailed it.
