Default In the Dark at Norwalk 2014

So it's time to start planning the summer.

So how about a Darkside special at Norwalk???

I figure to bring something, maybe the wagon...Hadn't dragged that out last year at all. Sucked.

We could do something up in the trailer lot during the day, I would set up my enclosed trailer as "home base" have a grill, and a cooler. We could drive the Darks up to the lot on Friday, then parade them down Sat and Sun AM for the show, the "Darkside-GTO only MORE" parade or something like that. Loop them all the way around the field then everyone splits up for classes. Maybe a drag strip parade too??? We could ask Pete Woodruff to make an announcement or something as well. Need a 69 GP or larger to play.

Whatcha think?

Maybe repost this in the other big car sections??

Thumbs up

Since '64s are celebrating 50 years, if I am able to go (details TBD) I will bring "Ramblin' Rose".

I think it's a fun idea, Keith. I think the John Cafferty & Beaver Brown Band song should play on the PA system during said rolling display!

Presuming that I get my car back from the body shop by then after my deer hit repair from last June, I'll certainly be there.

I'm in!
It's the 50th anniversary of the 2+2, and I'm trying to set up a 2+2 Reunion, so hopefully we can "represent".

IIRC, Stu Norman and Bill Weeden (UPC-WU2) on Classical Pontiac were using it (and the sub-tag, "May the torque be with you") the first I heard of it, and that was in '05 or '06...

So I will not have my car done, but am putting together plans to go. Would be fun to put a face with the names/cars/screen names that I have met on here. If you guys do get together, I would enjoy to meet up.

Any suggestions on where to stay?

There is a campground at the track. Also RV parking. Many hotels.

Question Eastbound Caravan...

If people coming from west of 87.9500 degrees longitude want to plan a caravan, post it here.

Our current plan is a little crazy and is subject to change. We are looking to leave on Thursday night, take turns driving through the night, attend the activities Friday, stay overnight somewhere (redroof inn?) attend Saturday, drive back that night, stay in WI somewhere and go to the Swap meet in Chippewa Falls on Sunday.

If anyone else is this crazy and needs a ride, there may be room. We likely will have a 15 passenger van and a trailer to haul things back and forth. Rochester MN to Norwalk OH.

Only a week away. I'll be there with a couple people. We will be selling at the swap Friday and Saturday (if i understand correctly) Feel free to stop and say hi, you should be able to find me 6'8" likely wearing a darksiders t-shirt and my trusty crusty white adidas hat. Will have a few Super Duty parts
