Default Just finished my 11 year 66 GTO Resto

Well it's nearly finished, there is always more to do, this is at a local American car show, it took 3rd in Muscle Car, so pretty happy with that. I did everything myself except for upholstering the front seats and painting the car, my wife and kids were a great help.

Congrats Franky on getting her back on the road again. That is one gorgeous 66 Goat. And a great candidate for a calender. A double !

What's the color you used? We need more photos....

BTW.... do the wire change in the switch to have the parking lights on with the headlights. You'll like it.

Nice job Franky!! I like the way the RII's look on your car, also the stance. Did you change the springs from original? What shocks are you using and are your tires 14's or 15's?

Looks Great! And no they never are really done. I've been working on the car in my avitar for over 40 years & there are still things that I want to do to it. The only problem with your car is I would keep getting in on the wrong side. Jerry.

Thanks for all the comments, to answer some questions, it has a 461 Butler kit in it with the Performance Years Tri Power set up, a Doug Nash 4+1 gearbox, 9" rear with 3.00 gear, the 4+1 gives it around 4.11 gear in the first 4 gears then the 5th gear is 1.1 .I haven't been able to play around with suspension too much yet, so the springs are cut for the stance and the shocks are basic gabriels, so work to do there yet. The wheels are 15 x 7 and 15 x 8, I cut and re welded the inner gaurds on the rear to fit the tyre. The car came with a 350 Olds in it for some reason and I don't know where the original is but it has lived down here since it was new.
