Yes thats the car, I'm going to call on this one in the AM. I like this one. I can see me in it. It looks to be done correctly. I just wonder how it runs. The LUV engine wasn't that great of an engine when they were new, but they can be made to run better. The car/truck seem to be clean when you look at the pics. Thanks for the link I've been looking for it for the last couple of days & couldn't remember what it was under. I thought it was a craigs listing. Thanks for the help. Rex.

With enough kevlar, steel plate & bullet proof glass, Rex, that thing could be your Detroit urban survival machine.

I talked to the owner tonight & I think I'm going to go to WI. next week to buy it. He says it rides a bit rough but thats ok , I think there is a few tweeks that can be done to the suspension to make it ride a bit better. Now I was wondering if any on knows what other engine will bolt up to the LUV truck trans so I can change the engien to a newer style engine as it still has the LUV truck engine in it. He says it runs good but as we all know we want them to run the best they can, so any help on possible engien swaps would be helpfull.

How about swapping in one of those old LUV (Isuzu) diesels?

Seriously though, weren't the LUV trucks built by Isuzu? Might broaden your search for a compatible swap.

Thanks I couldn't remember who built the truck back then but , I think your correct & by that it will be a lot easier to look for a newer engine if the engine it has is not up to the performance level I think it should be. As far as the LUV being built by chevy , it was an import & not one that chevy built & putting a chevy engine in a 4 wheel drive LUV truck would not work without a LOT of work with a LOT of adapters to make it bolt up to the LUV drive train. That I know already.

Cool piece, A second vote for an Izuzu diesel install from me. Silly thing would probably get 30mpg

I wonder what the bore size is for a 108 liter 4 banger?

Door needed some extra clearance?

Looks clean enough. A V6 swap might be practical. Believe Luv was also an acronym, for Light Utility Vehicle (Chevy called the El Camino a sport utility vehicle before that).

I've seen this car. The pictures in the ad are taken at the monthly Jones Park cruise-in in Fort Atkinson, WI. There is also a clean Chevy Chevette that shows up sometimes.

Don't let Old Goat 67 or Greg Reed see that or they'll be after it. Can't say I'd blame them either, seeing the weather they're getting down south.

The owner said the door was like that when he bought the car. It had happened to it before he got the car & did not know how it happened but he had tried at one time to fix it but he never did take the door panal off to get in to push it out.

A 4.3 or 3.8 motor swap would be cool in the T-1000.
