Default Mike Nixon's family needs our help! UPDATED with address and PayPal

Mike went in for a routine surgery, once opened up they found he had stage IV colon cancer, and that it had spread to his lungs. There were no indications or anything out of the ordinary, until the surgery.

Mike is in the hospital, Ball Memorial, I'll work on an address.

They are already working on hospice for Mike, and the Doctors are giving him less than two months...

Mike has spent 17+ years here on PY helping anyone he could with tech answers and performing his moderator duties. He's also spent a considerable amount of time with the POCI over the past few years as well, now its time for us to give back and help out a Pontiac Brother in his time of need.

Mike has three young sons and no life insurance and is worried about leaving his kids in debt with his funeral expenses. I'll post an address tomorrow and see if there is a PayPal account to make things easier to help Mikes kids. Mike has been one of my best friends for the past 20 years, I'm shocked, saddened with a heavy heart and at a loss for words so please excuse me if this doesn't make any sense.

Please, give what you can, everything helps.

PayPal account was set up by Don Keefe (Thanks Don!)

Thank you!

Mike, we love you Brother!

Sad to hear this. So much going on here with other members, this scares the hell out of me. Everybody needs to go see the doctor no matter how you feel.

Just heartbreaking. When it happens to us older fellows sad but we know our time is getting closer. Mike is obviously a younger man with young children. Paypal or address, I would like to send a donation.

Prayers sent to the Nixon family from our family. If there is any possibility for a miracle, Mike deserves it.

Before my surgery; they gave me three weeks. My doctor opened me up and freaked out; but he went at it. I was in surgery three times as long as normal with him trying to get everything he could with the surgery.

I sure hope Mike's doctors are wrong and he can limp along like me.

My first time meeting Mike - he became one of my favorites. He helped me go to look at a Firebird up in nowhere Indiana. Gave me relationship advice which led to Rob and I finally getting hitched... he's a great guy. Here's his mug shot... and one of me with Tray when we went up to see that Firebird...
