Default g-body 9 inch housing

I am building my own housing does anybody know the centerline of the ears to the axle centerline distance on a factory 9 inch housing. The 7.5 is about 5.5 inches which is unachievable with the size of the 9 inch housing. Currently am at 7.5 inches that is less or the same as adding no hop bars . just wondering if anyone had a measurement the ones on line look like the height of the ears is all over the place. Thanks Rod

look into 8.8 rear. They have a kit to align the bar angles.

A 9” housing is too large to get close to stock so why not make it adjustable using rod ends so you can experiment with different instant centers; here is what I did.

Thanks for the tips more of a pro touring type street car. I can only go down maybe another 1/2 inch so will try it where it is at 7.5 I found strange engineering is at 6 inches but states some control arm or spherical bushings may not work
