I have been looking for rims for my 79 TA and decided to go with Wheel Vintiques 15x8 Rallye II's for the rear and keep the 15x7 in the front for now. I'll probably end up getting the 15x8's for the front later. The backspacing is available in 4" and 4.5". I want to fill up the wheel wells and was thinking of going with 275/60/15 for the back and 245/60/15 for the front. What should I get for backspacing? Any suggestions?

I had 15X8's on the front of mine before the restoration. Ran 265/50-15's on the front. Backspacing was 4.5. I ran 15X10's in the back with 295/50-15's. You can go up to a 6" backspacing using a 17X9.5 front and 17X11 back wheels.
