Default percentages of 62 425-A 11B 348 hp 4 spd Catalina vs Grand Prix vs Bonneville

Curious if anyone has thoughts on the 2092 11B 62 425-A 11B 348 HP 4 speed distribution to Catalina vs Grand Prix vs Bonneville
1000 Cats and 500 ea GP and BV ? or 1500 Cats or 700 each x 3

buddy score a 62 GP 11B car , has 8 lugs and 3.90 rear aquamarine with white guts

I've wondered the same thing about 1961 as I have a 348hp Bonneville. I don't there's any real way to tell for sure so it's just going to be a guess. My guess is the majority were Grand Prixs, but I suppose there's an argument for saying more Catalinas were optioned that way if they were bought for racing. Either way, i think those two models made up the majority and very few were Bonnevilles.

Sounds logical to me , so GP could be over a 1000

I suspect GP numbers are significantly less than 1000. Looks like about 2000 11B cars were produced in total and the ratio of Catalina to GP was around 9 to 1. The GP was more of a luxury car when compared to the Cat and one would expect less likely to have a 4 speed. Bonneville's would account for very few. I have heard figures of around 200 or so thrown out for the GP, 11B 4 speed cars but who knows!!!!Over the years I've owned a few of them myself and currently have one.
