Chris, go right ahead. I'll be down at the ranch tomorrow and Thurs. if you'd like to visit.
Most of the cars are there now.

I was hoping to hear details and see pictures of a blue 71? Lots of blue 70's running around here like Craig's.

Ram72. I know that this is a 72 and it is already restored, so it may not work, but here is a suggestion.

RAM72...............didnt see this post before. Hang in there, as there really are still some white 70-72 4 spds still out there reasonably. You have probably missed good ones just because their owners dont know about websites like these. Missed a 73 TA up in Michigan last yr by a few hours......nice original motor driver quality with a few defects for $6000.

You have to get really good at internet searches and do one every few days. It can be time consuming. If you dont know how to do a national craigslist search PM me and I'll let you know. Also, if you dont know how to verify that a car is a REAL TA, or whether it has original motor, trans, rear, car, etc and not a clone, ask here. Tons of cars out there posing as the real thing that arent. There are ways to ascertain if even the sheetmetal is original.......and LOTS of cars from that time have non-original panels, noses, hoods, etc. Tons of info in the 70-73 bird tech info section on here covering the common problem areas too.

Good luck in your search!

I have a 72 TA White Blk interior 4spd with air that i have gone back and forth with the idea of selling, requires total resto and motor is long gone. Not sure if this car would fit the bill, it is far down on my list of cars to restore. Mark

I sure appreciate it aronhk..Seems like they are all still commanding extremely high prices still , even for just plain rustbuckets that are already missing everything..And then like you say the ones that are reasonable disappear very quickly , I run across alot of everything else but the 71 , it makes sense but geez , I think it must be because of the flood of people buying them strictly to make money off of them , almost put the car out of the league of guys like me , that want the car to have and keep because its truely a cool car..If you ever run across something keep me in mind...Thanks for the info too , I will be getting in touch with you...

That 71 seems like it's had way more work done to the motor. Has way more ignition on it for sure.

Thats true the engine to
Plus In that tiny town I have not found a road to run it on ..eather all turns ,or stop lights ,,Im use to the 455 making power at such a low rpm ,I have not had the 400 over 2500-3000 in any gear ,the 400 does have a bit higher power band than the 455 that I have not even got into yet,, I never even thought of this till now , I did get on I40 last time up to run it up only to see speed traps going on. And now I cant even get up there to play with the car. DAM WIFE!! Id like to bring it down to fl . but the garage is full ,and its one hell of a nice car to drive the Blur Ridge in, I do enjoy driving the 70 it rides so much better the susp on the 71, beats me to death .Runs a lot cooler to..
