I can see the vin is missing the year digit

Top's been replaced if it is one of the ones on the list.

Wonder if JM will chime in on the now posted Vin and say yes or no? Share the details? I don't have Teemu Selanne number or I would call him to see...

I'm leaning towards clone but who knows?

Here is a list of his cars...

1949 Cadillac Convt.
1957 Chrysler 300C Convt.
1959 Cadillac Eldorado Convt.
1961 Lincoln Contintental Convt.
1967 Shelby GT500
1968 Chevy Corvette Convt.
1969 Pontiac Firebird Convt.
1970 Dodge Challenger Hemi Convt.
1971 Plymouth Barracuda Convt.
1971 Pontiac GTO Judge Convt.
1997 Mercedes Benz S600
1998 Panoz Roadster
1999 Kawasaki ZX-11
2000 BMW M5
2000 BMW Z8
2000 Ferrari 550 Maranello
2000 Harley Davidson Fat Boy
2001 Lexus LX470
2002 Ferrari 360 Spyder F1
2002 Harley Davidson V-Rod
2002 Porsche 911 Turbo
2003 Mercedes Benz SL55

Not too shabby hey?

Had the same thought.

One Quezal Gold with a black top, two Aztec Gold with light coloured tops on Fred Simmons / Steve Hoog’s list of The “17” 1971 Pontiac Judge Convertibles

Seems to be missing a "1" or the 6th digit for the model year from the VIN above 242671P11

Did it say if it was automatic or stick?

Maybe it's the one that was 'totaled' when new?
(those in the 'know' would know?)

Quezal Gold with black top is accounted for and in a collection in NY.

To quote myself and the he gentleman from Finland. He did have VIN and noted the missing year as I did at top. But thanks...Teemu must be busy as he isn't chiming in on this thread or JM either.

The reality is so many clones and easy to clone a Judge. Also easier to have top changed over years and paint looking strange in a photo or even a color change. But, having no a VIN is a game changer

The red one was in Sweden for awhile.

One of the Aztec Gold was rumored totaled.

All according to Steve anyway.

Cool Story Indeed! Chris, we watched that Red 70 Judge get sold at Milt's auction a few years ago.

great story but 12.8 at 123 mph sure dont add up. 123 mph is well in the 10's and stock engines aint in no way capable of that

7 Years ago now BJ - doesn't seem that long now does it? I'm not sure if Milts is the car he was talking about or Rick Mahoney's red 70 RAIV convertible. I think Ricks is the one that was brought back over.

I've been having Pontiac withdrawals ever since I sold the 65 @ Mecum. Going to look at a 66 one-owner Catalina that I've known for over 30 years. It's been stored outside under a shed, so it's gonna be rough, but I hope it's not rusty. If it's not I'm bringing it home.
