68- 81 Pontiac fresh air help A/C

While I do not remember the material used to make the fresh air intake for bigger cars, these conditions gen firebirds used one with a white metal frame. A buddy just got one thats steel. The steel one doesn't bend. The firebird units I have are All bend ir broke.
So Any Pontiacs use the metal one? See pics
