EPsSD,

Look in you 'private messages' on this site. The answer you are looking for is probably in there.

I was probably me. Tell me what car it was and I'm sure I'll remember.

Default SD

schneidsd455-I can't view my private messages. It says I have 4 of them but they won't come up.

sd455hota-I have a 1974 SD with a 4 speed. It's blue with black interior. It had 42000 miles when I bought it. If it wasn't you can you give me any advice on finding the owner since your in nebraska?

Thats me. Remember the car well. Remember you, your wife and little girl coming to get it. If you never titled it it's still in my name here. 25 years ago will make it harder as I'll need to go through the State DMV rather than County but I'm sure I can get it.

Thank goodness. I have been stressing about this title for some time. I can't thank you enough for help. I remember the evening we bought the car. We got a hundred miles or more down the road and ruined a tire on our trailer. We limped a couple more miles to a house for a phone. Since we were still hundreds of miles from our home we called you. You brought us a wheel with a good tire, changed it and away we went again. It was well after midnight when you started back for your place. My wife reminded me of that when I told her I may have found you. Whatever I need to pay you for the title will be fine. Please let me know.

$10 for a duplicate title. After dealing with the State DMV the beer I'll drink will cost a bunch more. Seriously, just glad to help. I have a lot of titles in Nebraska so if you could get me your VIN it would make things quicker. If you can't get your private messages to work just call me tonit 402-525-3979

Default Thank you

I just wanted to say thanks to this forum and the folks that helped me get in touch with Steve (sd455hota) for my car title. I had a duplicate Nebraska title signed by Steve and in my hands on wednesday and the car is now titled to me as of today. If it wasn't for this forum I would still be searching for a way to title my car. Steve mentioned that this forum and the people on it held a lot of knowledge and information. After looking through some of the discussions over the last few days I see what he is talking about. I look forward to becoming a part of it in the future. Thanks again.

Pretty cool. Glad everything worked out for you. I liked the story of Steve bringing you the wheel for your trailer after buying your car. It's neat that your wife rememberd that after
27 years. A kind gesture that left a lasting impression.

I too am thankful for this forum. I've learned a ton of info over the last few years here and have met some really nice people through it.

Ed, Glad it all went well. I was wondering when you didn't mention the title in your letter with the check for the intake/carb. BTW they are packed and will go out fedex later today. Remember the TA Nats is close. You should go if possible.

Steve, are you going to the Nats?

Last year for the Dayton Airport Hotel and should be a good turn out with the end of a 24 year run, and Tipp City.

All good things must come to an end!

I'm schedule to attend and hope to meet some new faces.
Counting the days,
Brew

Thumbs up rwinkles Wins Again!

Our fellow SD'er won his class at the Ames Performance Nationals at Norwalk. There was a little bit of stiff competition in the form of a very nice 69 T/A and a couple 70 T/A's but in the end he prevailed.

Another bowling trophy for the shelf in the garage.

1. 74 SD T/A w/ 4 speed
2. 69 RAIII T/A
3. 74 SD T/A w/ Auto

Yes, I hope to bring my show car (if its ready?) thus be looking for a ride for Tipp City.
Craig, I'll have that White Cooler!

Steve, are you just flying out for the show or are you bring something out for us to enjoy?

Mr. Woodard, Congrats on the garage art and sorry we missed you winning that big bad boy!
Look forward in spending sometime at Dayton with you and your little friend Dick. Is he feeling better or is he more or less still orange all the time?

Post some pictures for us to see!

Craig, If there is an option to come please feel welcome to join our group. Will have plenty of room and of course your favorite White Cooler.
Golf is for the time when there are NO cars shows!

I'm coming down tomorrow and staying a Daves due to work. Maybe after work Thursday we could meet in Borrington for the cruise night and a couple cold ones?
