Default Couple cruise nite pics

Here's a couple more Pontiac pics from tonight's cruise nite. Supposed to be Pontiac nite but pickings were mighty slim until I left. The paint on the tri-power 58 Bonneville is gorgeous. the Bonneville script on the front fenders is actually air-brushed but you'd swear it wasn't at first glance. The 56 Chieftan 4 dr hardtop is kind of special to me. My first car was that exact model / body style (not near as pretty however).

I have been trying to purchase this one for about 25 years now. After all that time I finally got an approximate number after all these years and it is crazy money. The car is an original lead sled with a cool story - https://www.customcarchronicle.com/c.../#.W6EKx2mWzDc

Wow, that 58 is awesome! As it is too in it's final work and paint. I can only imagine the prices is well into the 6 figure range.

If you are talking the white & green one it is not in the 6 figures but the 5 figure number. That may not sound bad but that car was redone in the late 70's - early 80's and currently is rather rough around the edges. The car needs full restoration and be put back to one of the earlier versions. I figured if I did all the work myself it probably would set me back 20 to 35 thousand. Add that to the 50 to 75 I was told it would take to buy it just makes it not worth it.

I remember that car in the original Car Craft coverage. I much prefer that candy gold version. If I recall, that version had a 60 389 tri-power and 4 speed trans. Could be wrong about that....it was a long time ago and I'm old LOL.

Funny thing is, I have never seen it with the hood open. So I really have no idea what is in it. I always thought the wheels were hideous and out of place until you see them in some of the old photos. Whether or not they were on the car from years ago they would be the first thing to go if I got the car. I like it with the chrome reverse as seen in the original photos. The interior currently has swivel Chrysler seats covered in green velour. Another thing that would have to go.
