brought it home Friday........brake pedal is very soft, could be the lack of vacuum. I have a few little things that need to be done. Locks are all stiff from aged lube. Needs stereo speakers. I have to replace a cracked ground effect on the rear bumper I have an NOS one. Needs the air deflector under the front bumper. A real good clean up on the interior.
When the tags come I'll be making trips for estimates on paint & body work. Hopefully I can get it done this winter.

in 83 at the car craft nationals, there was a white T/A, a brand new one..with a 455SD in it..with a rock crusher...really done well and looked right...too bad GM didnt try a traditional pontiac engine in there for awhile before they went to the corporate idea

Brakes will have to be addressed. Very happy overall though......The engine is quite responsive, but needs exhaust work. The 2 1/4" head pipes are a big restriction, even with the empty cats. I can see lots of rear tires in my future! LOL

QQ plates arrived did the first shake down.....car runs great but need the lower air deflectors! The temp went to 220 then 260 pretty quick. I have a set coming from E-bay should have them next week.

Installed the lower front air deflectors....car ran hot 240* & blowing coolant without it.
Have some interior pieces to install, bleed the brakes again.

Have you done anything more to car? Any lessons learned on the swap you would do different next time around? I am thinking of doing the same thing but keep my 700r4 with adapter plate.

Haven't messed with it lately........Can't think of anything I would have done different.
I did use the 700 trans but upgraded to the 30 spline & used HD internals. I have a lock up converter on a switch. Some say go with no lock up. I can't say either way as I don't have any miles on it yet. Still have to get the head pipes redone. They are orig and on the small side.
