Default having trouble installing my firewall carpet guard

can not get to fit ,it seems that the speedo cable is in the way . i thought i installed the speedo cable in the right place . any thoughts on this

is the speedo cable in the right hole ?

That's the right hole for the firebird speedo cable. But it looks like your cable is not hugging the firewall like it should. You probably need to pull some slack up into the cab, it will just slide on the grommet.

x2 was going to say you may need to pull it through the retainer on the chassis more, or use a longer cable if needed.

not sure if that will work it seems to be to high will try and take more photos

Yes, the speedo cable is supposed to be sandwiched between the plastic guard and the firewall. There should be a relief on the guard that adds room and cradles the cable.
