Default HD 3spd?

Did pontiac offer both the Muncie cast iron 3spd and the Dearborn 3spd in the 66 gto? I am thinking the PHS only calls out the "HD 3spd" but not the brand.

AFAIK Dearborn trans was optional from mid 65 to 67. Required if you wanted a console or floor shift.
Standard equipment on 68-69 models as a floor shift only.

I believe the Dearborn was standard, Muncie 4 spd. and 2 speed automatic were options in '66.

Since I don't know for sure I double-checked my copy of the GTO/GT-37 Illustrated ID guide.

A fully synchronized Saginaw M11 in 66/67 was standard, column shift only. Dearborn optional.
The 2nd/3rd gear synchronized Muncie M12 was used in 64/65. Dearborn was optional from March '65

3 spd HpD was standard IF you got the floor shift. Muncie 3 spd was only available if you got the column shift; I've only seen one and heard of 1 more in over 40 years dealing with GTO's.
