This is one (Black ) wire from switch in glove box back to trunk, you need a schematic for that? It routes with blue speaker wire if applicable.

I know seems simple. Just trying to see the whole route as we're not getting power with the orange wire. Orange wire also seems to be too short to install in glove box green button hole. Thinking that no power to orange wire could be due to not having the dash gauges installed now and a ground issue.

Orange wire is a option based hot. Can go to the fuse box and plug in, or on a double plug feeding the cigar lighter. I will get you more info later tonight

The power trunk unit is the ground for this circuit. So when the green button Is pressed you have hot on both sides of the switch. When the solenoid activates, its grounded, right at the lock in the trunk to car body. That said, cars that got tanked (Norwood) may have paint on the screw mounts that must be removed for a clean ground.
