Default 1971 Lucy Blue 4-speed SHARKTANK

"Looks" nice. Coming up at Mecum Kissimmee. Curious to see what folks here come up with on this one...seems under-estimated on value but maybe there's issues.

Mecum says they have the PHS, but they don't post it. Would be nice to see that to confirm car has born-with colors, options, etc.

It looks to have been comprehensively restored, but has many of the usual quickie resto / "I didn't want to spend the money on the right parts" discrepancies. The following aren't correct for a '71: 73+ Rally wheels, dash bezel, front door armrests, alternator, master cylinder, fan shroud, fenders, driver side inner fender. That's based on a quick look through the pics - I'm sure there's more.

I agree although the lower door panels may be correct if it’s a late 71 I believe somewhere in April they started using those lower door panels

It wouldn’t surprise me if it sells for well over 70k. Numbers matching 4 sp Ac with a great color combo.

Agreed, I could see someone paying up for that. Pontiac people care about those fine details but regular car guys don't see those things.

The fan shroud appears to be a later '70's part or could be a Service Replacement piece. Same thing with the front fenders. Might be "correct" later SR parts.

I'm gonna say it'll bid to slightly over $60K IF the PHS shows it's an original Blue 4-spd build.

The hole on the passenger side is what doesn't belong on an early car.

on '73-75 Birds, the large stamped steel bracket that surrounds the top of the overflow jug attaches at that forward point.

The lower door panels would be correct for a late ‘71 with standard interior. Deluxe interior never used them.

I hate to bash cars but I'll add the wrong A/C line crimps and hoses. It's a nice looking car regardless and I would be happy to own it.

It goes across the carpet this Saturday
Could probably even hit 80k , that's a damm hard combination to find with White Deluxe and that equipment, plus #'s Drivetrain, and full deep restoration.
All in one car

the little things just get smaller when the rest of it looks that good.
Beautiful Beautiful Car

Almost worth robbing a bank

I'll just say, You would need to see the car in person.

That one sure pushes ALL the right buttons ....for ME....

The Rally' II's with trim rings and red PMD's....on code 26....with Tuxedo interior......and a clutch pedal...all come together very well...
I could even live with the wrong fenders........but would have to change out the dash bezel...
