Did anyone have any thoughts on the center trim? I know my pic is a little blurry but it's hot as heck and I'm trying to hold the trim and the phone and take the pic by myself.
Maybe I have the wrong trim? |

Looks right to me.

It does appear to be correct. Mine has some dings which is not a concern. it's that it would need to be severely bent or folded to get it to sit properly. I guess I'll have to fiddle about with it to see what I can do to force it to fit.
Thanks for the pics. Great for reference. |

I know that 66 and 67 trunk lids are different and the trim would have to be also, but is it possible the trim piece you have is for 66? The reason I ask is the 66 trunk is straight across the back and 67 comes to more of a point. That piece of trim looks like it doesn't have the right curve for 67. Just thinking in print.

I was working with a friend yesterday and he thinks we can make it fit. The piece is slightly bent in enough places that it wants to not fit.
Didn't plan on refinishing the trim. However wondering if it might be better to send the piece out to be properly straightened. I've seen a few people say it's cheaper that replacing? Not sure about that. Anyone have a resource for this they would recommend? |
