Default Covid-19 Virus Oil Filter Cutter

I used my virus holiday to build a homemade oil filter cutter. Works like a charm, threw it together with spare hardware lying around. Stole an old cutter wheel from a rust old tubing cutter. 15 minutes on the milling machine, about the same on the drill press, some thread tapping, couple of spot welds and I have a super heavy duty filter cutter.

Some nice fabrication going on there for minimal $ and should be good for a lot of filter inspections.

Hehehe... the only stock I had wide enough was 1/4" plate .. so yes it's pretty sturdy. Ordered a new cutter wheel for it today, something made for steel rather than the copper cutter installed now.

Like a lot of my homemade stuff I'll probably never paint it, but in this case it might not get rusty cause it will get plenty of oiling.
