06 GTO rear end under 74 GTO?
Will a 06 GTO rear end work under a 74 GTO? Thanks Steve

Yes it will work fine under there.
Definately not a bolt in swap. Will require a bunch of custom fabrication to make it work. Independent rear suspension is quite different than straight axles... Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk |

With skills, time, and money any rear suspension will fit under most anything. If you're asking is it a easy swap, it's not going to be easy because everything between the two cars is completely different. GTO to GTO in this instance is as close as putting Ferrari suspension under a chevy.
To start with the 06 is a independent rear type suspension with lower swing arms, and coil springs. The 74 is leaf sprung with a solid rear housing, it's apples and oranges. If a serious fabricator worked on it for 2 solid weeks (80 hours), in a well equipped shop, I doubt they'd have it finished.
