Default Wiring issues

After changing out gauges from idiot lights to rally gauges, I get full( pegged) readings on both fuel and oil pressure but O.K readings on temperature( does move when power off and goes full on accessory). When trouble shooting the fuel and oil pressure wiring, I can get only millivolt readings at the wiring close to the senders. The fuel wiring runs back to the rear without going through the fuse block/ bulkhead connector but the oil and temp both run through the fuse block/ bulkhead connector.
Am I having a wiring problem or new gauge problem? Any thoughts or advice?
I did run through the search but nothing seems to be close to what is happening here.
Thanks,

Well, I found out what the problems were!
Don't ever let anyone who doesn't know what the hell they are doing close to electrical wiring. The previous owner's mechanic just clipped/ spliced wires where ever he wanted.
Temporary fixes will be O.K. until I replace the engine harness.
