428 Engine
I have a YH 428 with 46 heads and wanted to know if that was a motor for a 69 GP? Just trying to i.d. this motor. Thanks, Brew

not a Gp.
it is a B body engine. 360 HP, Auto, 2 bolt mains. 46's are small valve press in stud heads. |

Okay, thanks Matt! I really appreciate the help. All I know is the owner told me it had allot of power but not sure what or where it came from. Will be changing it out someday but still collecting parts.

Likely came out of a Bonneville, the 360hp 428 was the standard engine in '69 for that trim level. I have one of those YH 428s living under my workbench, it even has 'Bonneville' written on the back of the block with yellow junkyard marking paint.
Pontiac cheapened it up enough that they could offer it as standard at a low cost (2-bolt mains, small valves, press-in rocker studs). All of the other '67 -'69 428 engines were 4-bolt main, big-valve heads with screw-in rocker studs.
