Default Coil springs

All,
I am going through the font end suspension on my 1971 G/P and am wondering what is the best way to remove the coil springs for replacement. Any suggestions would be appreciated. When dealing with stored energy things can go awry quickly. There doesn't seem to to be room for spring compressor any way. Just saying!

Pay a front end shop to do it...not worth the risk!

Check YouTube there are a couple videos that show coil spring removal without a compressor. I have done it several times using a floor jack under the A arm using the weight of the car like in the video. It can be a little tricky getting the new spring back in, just reverse the procedure.
