Default Pontiac Water Pump Repair Kit

I started this thread because I have searched here, google, rockauto, and ebay;

Does anyone know a source for, or aftermarket part number(s) for a water pump rebuild/repair kit?

I see a handful are on ebay, but they are all NOS GM kits;
I found a state-side company that offers to rebuild water pumps, but cannot seem to source who makes or offers aftermarket kits these days;
As I see it, odds are that if there is a company offering to rebuild a water pump, that should mean the parts are available.

Any tips ect are appreciated.

Send 'ol pinion head a PM? From what I've read, he knows what he's doing.

68bird .. would love to know more details, cost, picture? etc.

I gave up looking to find the rebuild parts for my dated 68 pump and bought a new pump from NAPA. I too found the places rebuilding them, but hard to find the parts they are using ... which are usually just off the shelf bearings and seals meant for pumps.

The kit consists of the bearing with shaft, 2-part seal, and gaskets. For my 71 pump the price was $35 + $8 shipping. He says everything he sells is USA made. Best to give him a call. Good guy to talk to and very helpful.
