lol, I was just making a joke but I think it went past a few folks... Hell, I knew I had a pretty good "shot" at guessing if you weren't on this damn thing you'd be out chasing something. I bet it's gonna be an interesting hunting season here next year....

We've found 3 fawns so far in the last few days. I clear cut a couple of acres that I purchased a while back and let it grow up really thick so they have a nice sanctuary and the does are taking full advantage of it.

Kind of cool and tells you how smart to does are but they are having their fawns in a wet area that's full of "skunk cabbage". I suppose that really helps keep the coyotes from finding the fawns. They come back every year to the same area to have their young.

Just closed on purchasing another piece of property behind me so we have a nice buffer zone and plenty of good hunting.

Far as fuel filters for the Q-jets, the Marine filter is a micro-screen and full flow. They will not fit the 1975 and later carbs unless you put the shorter housing on them. We don't have them on the website but have them available. We also make and sell AN fittings for all years, short or long housings.......Cliff

Nope, I had him on the feeder every day for over a week. I came down with a bad sinus infection and spent 8 days out of the woods. He got himself whacked the day before I was going to get back in my stand.

All the pics were mid-day, and he was taken about 400 yards from my property line by a neighbor at 11:15am. Scored 167 (raw).......Cliff

That sucks, definitely sounds like my kind of luck. Finally saw my biggest buck of the season on camera for days after shotgun season ended last year. Sure was hoped he would make his way back when winter bow came in. He did but on my neighbors property. lol

The last two gun seasons I took the largest bucks on our property that survived the bow seasons.

It's been pretty hard on the big bucks lately in our area. The secret is out, we've got the big boys here and folks are leasing up all the land and bringing hunters in from all corners of the globe to hunt them. Some go completely nocturnal and those that don't usually get whacked before the gun season first week of December........Cliff

I attached a pic of a bruiser taken about a mile from my place.....

I'm an avid hunter and been reading up on Ohio. I was looking at some guides at the Harrisburg Pa. show. Monster bucks! I'm in Jersey and feel your pain its very hard to find an area without pressure and when you do the lease isn't cheap. And monster bucks are few and far between.

Tallyhoe I apologize for getting off course your thread.

I don't know why Cliff's name was on my post sorry if this caused some confusion. Here is the link for the RobMc filter that I use in front of the carb. I use the taller one.
