Jack,
I have a new set in the box of Crane 99893 I got from Dave at SD for my build - same as yours E-head and OF. Went a different way on springs and retainers. If you are interested pm me.

Thanks and good luck with the build,
Matt

I went with comp 914 springs. 165 lbs seat pressure at 1.8 IH. Plenty of coil bind for 630+ lift. Leaves a little room for the springs to lose some pressure after they're broken in. Works perfectly on my 87cc E heads. Make sure to get the right locators for them - I don't remember the part number I used for locators off the top of my head. btw this is with the same exact cam - 236/242@050 Hyd roller, 110 LSA. Sitting at 600/620 lift with 1.7 rockers. Been running with these springs on street/strip for over a year now.
