I have a 69 bonneville, originally a 428 car, but it blew up in 1975 and now has a 1972 pontiac 400 in it. Do you think it is better off with the stock manifolds or should I invest in some headers? Thanks for the help

it depends on what you do with the car. headers will definitly add throttle response and fuel economy. they will probably be a pia to install.if you don't drive it much will the cost/ gains be worth the effort? you may look into a set of ho manifolds and the oil filter adapter instead. also be sure to use a large enough pipe[2 1/4" i.d. at least] and good quality low restriction mufflers to get the full benifit. if you don't want a lot of noise the 3 chamber delta flow units that flowmaster sells are a good choice. mike
