Default '65 GTO center section...

Why still no '65 GTO rear center section? Taqil light bezels are being reproduced, why no center section?

Question

Danny, Did Pontiac put them on a 66 GTO or the big cars? Thank you Randy.

This was a 65 Lemans/GTO only item.

Danny, IIRC, The Parts PLace did the taillight sections and worked on a center section. The center section section was so long that it would never work out without being wavy or crooked. Seems someone on here had a prototype here at one time. I guess they have given up on the piece.

I know about the Parts Place tail light pieces, they are made in China. Iam guessing that another problem is that the LeMans and GTO center sections are one year piece and they are both different, the GTO has 6 ribs and the LeMans has 11. PY has them on the site for sale, pending availiability....

Actually the GTO and Lemans piece are the same. The Tempest piece is the one that is different, with more ribs.

Unhappy The one i found is not for a GTO

Jerry, All 3 look the same on the ultimate GTO site to me. The one i found must be off a big car, The center of it where the lock goes is like half a lock U shape in it? It has the white PONTIAC on it, It also isnot as wide as a 65 What do you think it came off of?Thank you Randy.

Mid 60's big car would be my guess. They are all different, year to year. It's not a 65 GTO or Lemans, as the trunk lock didn't go thru the trim panel, it was on the trunk itself.
