We have finally convinced the mfg. that there is a market for Bench seats. PUI has just completed the first of what should be a full line of bench seat upholstry for the GTO, Tempest and LeMans. Pricing will be the same as a pair of front buckets. 1967's are now available with other years to follow.

Cool, this is good news. My 67 has a bench seat (black) with some cigarette burns from dad. I thought that I had to live with them till now.

I dont suppose they would consider covers for the 64-65's? I know the GTO's didnt have them but I need something for my Tempest. The patern would be off but I could live with that. I refuse to give up my bench seat (4 speed) and I'm not thrilled about having to get some custom seat cover made that wont look correct.

65 wagon. If you have a split back bench seat the 67 cover would work. I think the station wagons had a solid back on the bench though. Correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct about the wagon seat being solid across the back. I was actually referring to a 64 2 door sedan I have though so it is a split bench. I hadnt thought about the 67 covers. I guess I'll need to see what they look like and the colors they will be available in. The 64 has red int and I'd prefer to keep it that way.

Another option would be to get 2 rear seats. A good trim shop can make those into an almost perfect bench seat.

You could also look at the Chevelle seat covers available. They might have a color and pattern you can live with.

Bigpop, Go ahead and strut . That was my point. 'We' the collective efforts of Pontiac enthusiasts have convinced PUI to do these.

I am assuming the bench seat vinyl set would include the center arm rest as well?

This is GREAT news being that an upholstery shop is wanting nearly $500 for custom upholstery job on my '69's front bench seat.

It is not a hard task for an upholstery shop to take a pair of bucket seat covers, and add the necessary vinyl to make a bench seat cover. This was done to my '69 GTO, and you cannot tell it's not factory.

This should work for a '64 with the split back bench seat.

The '67 GTO notchback front bench seat cover set (including the center arm rest) has been available for almost 20 years now. Al Knoch produced a set for my friend's 4-speed convertible back in '85. Perhaps the volume was not there to make this a permanent offering.
Chris, is Al still in the business?

Just curious guys, I have a bench seat column shift 67 Goat as well, do they offer replacement frame and armrest components for the bench cars??? Glad they offer replacement seat covers, but my frames were so rotted out upon removal that it looks like I'm going to have new frames custom made or fabbed up. My armrest is pretty shot too. What about the bench seat foam??

Was hoping someone besides PUI has done this,
my experience with them as been luke warm.
My 67 Tempest Sprint Sport coupe has the "optional"
black vinyl bench seat. One year, one model and optional
equipment I seriously doubt they will make mine.
I gave up years ago and used 66 Chevelle ones.
