Exclamation Rare model...

I am selling my complete and unbuilt MOTORIZED Japanese [Doyusha] Nostalgic Heroes model of a '71 Pontiac GTO which is advertised on the box mistakenly as "The 1964 Pontiac GTO". Some of you may be familiar with this very collectible example. As far as I can tell...it includes gears and switch but requires 1 FA-130 motor and 2 UM-3 batteries. I doubt any serious collector would build this kit anyway due to its rarity and value in its unbuilt form. Most of the writing on the box is in Japanese. I believe the scale to be 1/24th. Sorry...no pix as my camera took a dump...but I stand by my 100% satisfaction guarantee. $100 shipped. Thanks. Ron

Default Actually...

the outside box is different with an indian head logo that says " The 1964 GTO" and "USA". No stars and stripes or anything, though. They must have changed the box when they discovered that it was NOT a 1964 GTO! Your's must be the revised edition. Thanks for sharing. I'll try to get pix if I can get my hands on a camera that works! Ron

Thumbs up 2nd RELEASE

The one pictured above is the 1st issue.

This is the second issue.
I bought mine sometime in the early 80's.
One of the Pontiac Venders back then had cases of them.

It's a neat little kit with limited detail.
If anyone buys & desides to build it, you will need to get a 130 motor for it.

I assumed that the incorrectly labeled one would have been first. They had it correct and then changed it? That's odd. Sure your spoiler isn't on backwards? Anyway...thanks for posting. That IS the kit. Ron

With the incorrect 64 date on the box, that alone makes it a 'special' collectors item. Even more so unassembled.

It is a nice kit in 1/24th scale.

The first issue sold for 800 yen when new. The second issue (with the wrong year on the box) sold for 1200 yen when new.

When given an all-expense paid 1 1/2 year vacation to Japan in 1969 and 1970, I learned enough Japanese (spoken) to half-way follow old movies without captions, but never learned to read the Kanji. Would like to get interpretations of all of the box art. I have searched both boxes and instructions trying to find the release date on these.

The second issue is part of a "Nostalgic Heroes" set done by Doyusha.

Jon.

Ron - when I was in Japan, the exchange rate was 1 dollar to 360 yen. Today it is about 1 dollar to 80 yen.

Maybe we need to mislabel some boxes!!! It seems to be working! The ones responsible for the incorrect box information probably write Ebay ads in their spare time.

As to a 1969 RAIII stick carb, I am, and will probably remain, sold out. Wish I had one for you.

Jon.

Jon,

Send me some good clear photos of the box art and I can get it translated.

Cheers!

THIS STUFF IS COOL!!!!!

I've got something like this but it's a motorized 74 T/A. I partially built it and it's moved thousands of miles with me, I need ot look at to see if it's crushed or not.
