Default My '84 S10 350 Poncho powered truck...

Here's a little budget build I've been working on lately...

1984 Chevy S10 with a mild 350 Poncho (72cc heads, performer rpm, little cam etc.).. Stock A-body motor mounts from a '72 Lemans, Milodon 7qt. oil pan and cut crossmember.

It'll have a TH-200r4 trans and shortened 12 bolt with 3.73:1 gears...

Tastefully done. I like your attention to details. Nice job. You saved that trucks life.

Nice work.
You should find some S-15 badges to put on it. Pontiac engines are right at home in a GMC.

Nice little truck. Can't wait to see it when it's finished. I had a S10 blazer 2 wheel drive 2 door that had a small block Olds in it. Done up with a Bravada grill and interior.

Nice build!!!
I know its a preference thing, but a 5 speed would be so much fun in that truck!
I had a new 83 GMC S15 Gypsy with a 2.8 and 5 speed. It was a fun truck. Yours will be a BLAST

Nice project!!

What was cut on the crossmember? Also, what application did the exhaust manifolds come from? Was the steering column modifed?

Thanks for the pictures!

Yes the crossmember needed cutting.. nothing major. I'm using two RH manifolds as you can see in the pics above... the one on the pass. side is from a '69 GTO and the driver side is from my manifold collection (I'll have to check on the number).
Yes I modified the steering linkage that goes from the firewall to the steering gear box. I'll post pics soon... I've done tons of work on it lately.

Kris.
