I really like that it's so clean and understated. Anyone who takes a good look at it can't help but be impressed with your detail work.

Glad to see you're running it, It looks great! What cam did you have and what did you change to? What were you looking for with the change and did you achieve it?

I hereby issue you two awards-
1> Neatest/cleanest S10 to come down the pike...
2> Best photographic composition ('right'-sized pickup betwixt two 'monster's)...

I have a cam in it now that's identical to Summit 2800 cam and stock '75 intake... It performs similar or a tad better compared to the overcamed-intake scenario but overall much smoother ride. I was looking for more smoothness so to say...

To do list says: 3.73:1 gears, 200r4 tranny, lean the carb more, electronic distributor, power steering, radio (it still has the radio delete plate in it LOL) and some misc stuff..

Yeah I love the pickup pic... just had to take the shot LOL

That combo will give you highway mpg in the mid 20's pretty easily. I pulled down better than 20 with a 406 in an '81 full-sized GMC short-bed, gears were 3.08.

Yeah... I need to optimize it a little better and fix my speedo to start collecting some data.

Great job on the truck! Been following this since the beginning. My 84 S-10 Blazer 4x4 5-spd I daydream of being swapped to Pontiac power one day. The 3"body lift will help the firewall and tunnel clearance plus the 4x4 torsion bar front end lends to more clearance possibly.. Also thought to see if 2wd lift spindles would fit 4x4 A-frames and steering link could make a cool swap as a BAJA style 2WD with a Poncho under the hood.
