Default numbers

looking at 70 t\a sit,s in barn, loooong time. it,s been there ...in parts . i have some numbers but not all.. bell housing ??/ and trans - manul - case number ,tail , side., shifter , linkage numbers ,z bar . where to get these.. so i doint make u guy,s go nut,s are drive shaft number .. has 12 bolt rear look like cox or cov to dark in there..will have to take a light..and a jack!!! dose\\ frame \have numbers..2288 on vin 70 car t\a

The rear end could have either of those numbers.
The COX is probably what it is with a 4speed. (3.55 STT)

The tranny stuff I think I answered in the other thread.

661 main case, 3857584 tailhousing, 3952648 side cover.

Don't think the frame has numbers on it, but never have looked.

Danny,
Welcome.
The subframe does have numbers on it in '70 (on the LH outboard side at the rear), but they are just date codes... they don't match the VIN.

COX axle would be a 3.55... the standard ratio for a Trans Am with a TH400 or M20.

If it had A/C, the COV would be the only axle available.

Post some pics. Love to see "barn finds"!
