Check the fluid level.
Othewise check for a snake!
(My friend purchased a 65 442 and found a Dead Rattlesnake around the steering linkage!)

Pitts,

I had my 63 gas tank sending unit rebuilt by a company in Mass. They now advertise in Hemmings. I can not recall the name but when I get back to Tampa I will email you with the info..(I think I posted their name last year in one of the postings....Also, I found a 63 Bonneville in the back of one of the salvage yards in Florida. The car is covered in weeds. I plan on taking the posi out of it in a couple of weeks. When I do that, I can drop the tank, check-out the sending unit and remove it. It was a non-ac car. Is yours an AC car? Sending units are different for an AC vs. non AC car.
