I am going to replace the quarter panels on my car with a pair of NOS quarters, question I have is at the window area, the little pins that the moulding clips fasten to. How do you save/fasten/replace? Thanks for any help

The NOS panels that I'm replacing are not for my GTO, they are for a 72 Heavy Chevy that's also in the process of being restored. I also have to replace the quarters on the GTO, I was only able to find a used pair needing some repairs. Imagine the price tag on a set of NOS for a 66!
