I have looked at several water pumps for 67 gto on the inter net to purchase, if looking right at the fins of the inpeller I have seen the fins going in one direction on one and the other direction on another. does anyone know which way the fins should go? I would not want to purchase one with the fins the wrong way. thank you

I don't recall for sure which way the fins go, however the most important thing you need to look for in a water pump is a cast impeller, not stamped. If you do a search in this forum, there is a lot of good info on water pumps. Some good pictures too.

This is a pic of an 11 bolt pump but the direction of the vanes is the same that you would want. There is a thread on the board somewhere about a company that was producing them with reverse impellers,I think it was in the lobby. As you can see the cast impeller is more quality peice.
