Anyone know if a 75 firebird radio will fit/work in a 72 Lemans. If not what else would?

No http://forums.performanceyears.com/g...1&m=5516032602 . But any '69-72 Pontiac A-body radio (and Grand Prix of same years, but will have chrome buttons instead of black) will work.

I can get a 75 Firebird or 70 Grand Prix radio. I have a 72 A-body AM. Can parts from the AM be used to make the Firebird work or would it be easier to try to find the right buttons and change Grand Prix?

I have heard that the only Firebird radio that would fit the '68-'72 Pontiac A-body (GTO, [Luxury] LeMans/Sport, Tempest, T-37/GT-37, Custom) is the '69 Firebird. The '69-'72 Pontiac G-body (Grand Prix) will fit, but if you have a concours restoration, the chrome buttons are incorrect. '69 Firebird has the same dimensions, as well as the bar below the radio face plate and the black buttons. I think even the B-body radio may fit. Uncertain of the years. Again, has the chrome buttons which will be incorrect for the Pontiac A-body, but will fit. Hope this info helps.
