I am looking for the recent article on the correct way to put a 4 inch main crank in a 3.75 main engine. I believe this article was in a recent Hot Rod magazine but I have not been able to locate it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Pontiac mains come in two sizes: 3.25" (421 and larger engines) and 3" (400 and smaller).
I believe you are referring to the stroke length in your post? A 4" stroke crank would be a 421 or 428 crank. Same principals apply to adapting one of these cranks to a 400 block as apply to adapting a 455 crank. See the post on this board about putting a 455 crank in a 400 for more info. The same basic information applies. -Will
