I'm going to need to replace my vinyl top in the near future. Is this an easy enough job to do myself, or should I have it done? Oh yeah, it's on a 67 GTO if that matters.

You can take it off you can make any repairs necessary. After that find a good upholstery shop

Your a braver sole than I, I would take it to a shop. Can't be that expensive.

It's east to strip them off and better to have a shop put the new one on! I had one installed on my 67 Chevelle S.S. and it ran $190.00.

Had a new top installed on my 67 Lemans last summer, Had the top, shop only charged me 100 bucks, seemed fair for something I would not do. Now about my headliner.......

You can do the headliner easily yourself. Just mark the holes that the rods come out of and keep the rods in order. That little cardboard stuff on the sides is to roll up your headliner in to give it some extra body so it wont unravel.Heat will stretch out all the wrinkles when you are done. Dont build a fire inside just leave it out in the heat with the windows rolled up.
