1965 GTO. I had the chrome piece below the trunk lid re-chromed (the one that runs between the tail lights) and also the head light bezels. There is black paint between the ribs on the trunk piece and black paint between the headlights on the bezels. I think there is black paint in the PONTIAC letters, too.

I have three questions: How is the fresh chrome treated so the paint sticks (is there a special primer or is the chrome sanded, etc.), how do I get the paint inbetween the ribs to have straight lines, and what type of paint should be used (epoxy, lacquer, etc.). Thanks for the help

No need to sand the chrome or primer it, just use SEM #39143 paint.

Good luck.

Oh, and the lettering is white. It takes a while to tape everything. But, if you take your time it'll come out good.
