We are having our street 400 dyno and was wondering what you guys think it will end up making for hp and tq. The combo is:
4.155 bore
3.75 stroke
62 heads that flow 240cfm with the RPM intake on
1.75" headers
850 Holley
Solid (flat tappet) Comp Cams 246-254 @ .050 and .573-594 lift with 1.65 rockers. Lobe seperation is 106 and center line is 102.
So what are your guesses?

DeskTop Dyno says 522 @ 6500 and 500 ft/lb torque at 5000. Pretty good for a 400. Congrads.

That's cool, 501hp @ 6,500!

That's the kind of thing I want to hear because that just means my engine should be in that range too.

Cool Slowbird,

I thought that rpm intake and the 240 cfm heads would tame that cam a little more than it did. I bet that is screaming 400!

That is great. I guessed the lower HP because HP is a function of RPM. I didn't think you would turn it that high. If it has aftermarket rods, then turn that thing!

It averaged 440.6 ftlbs of torque from 4000 to 6800, peak tq was 472. It also averaged 450.5 hp from 4000 to 6800 rpms. The tq curve is really flat.

"The tq curve is really flat."
Great numbers.
And we constantly hear that narrow LSA's have 'peaky' curves.

Very flat torque curve due to the tight LSA......great numbers.
