I am going to upgrade my con rod bolts to ARP's but want to know how to properly remove the old ones...I loosened one and gave it a good rap with a hammer and it didn't move ...I didn't want to get to aggresive and do any damage so I thought I'd check with the forum first. Thank you.

They are a press fit. A press is better than whacking with a hammer. Just let the machine shop do it since you will want to get the big end resized anyway after changing bolts.

I have to ask, have you figured up the total cost for resizing, ARP bolts, and installing them (i.e., the labor the shop will charge to do everything) vs. a set of aftermarket rods? In some areas it sounds like the new H beam rods are barely more than getting stockers redone.
