I am in the process of upgrading to disc brakes on my 69 gto conv. I have 14 X 7's (previous owner had 205/75 front and 215/75 on back.
I picked up a set of 15 X 7's because I assumed the 14s wouldn't fit the new disc. They seem to fit fine (caliper is close to rim - but appears to cleary fit). My 14 rally IIs are already painted and the 15s are in primer - I would be happy with 235/70 - R14 all the way around. Anything inherently worse about the 14s than the 15s? Thanks. |

Other than better tire size selection there is no real big benefit to running the 15s.
If you're happy with your current 14s why not run them? All of the '69 A-body and F-body Pontiacs had 14s stock with or without disc brakes.
