Default Pontiac Aluminum Hood???

I have a NOS Aluminum hood that was bought with a Ponitac parts business. The part # 10008146.
Did Pontiac ever put an aluminum hood on there cars?
Pics will follow in the next couple of days.

Thanks,

Some '82 Trans Ams did with the power bulge hood. Its the same hood as used on the '91/92 Firehawks.

80s G-body, some had aluminum trunk lids as well. Regal, GP, Olds etc, I dont know how they determined what model to use aluminum parts on, it doesnt seem to be consistant, maybe they were trying to hold max weights for certain models for the EPA mpg ratings?

Default Somewhat common

I have one on my 80 Grand Prix SJ. Had 2 parts cars that had alum. hood also. ( a 79 and a 80)
Some did and did not have aluminum bumper re-bars too.
There are not overly rare.

It looks like a Grand Prix hood for sure. Know anyone who needs one?

Default Chrysler...

built some aluminum-paneled "Feather Dusters" back during the fuel crisis thing. Didn't know GM dabbled with the idea. Neat, though. Couldn't be a '69 GTO Ram Air hood! When I first read the post, I was thinking "'62 Catalina".
