Default 89 Trans Am GTA

Hi,

Me and my dad are looking at an 89 Trans Am GTA for sale. I was wondering if it was commom on the b-pillars where they touch the t-tops, is it commom for there to be a crack with some rust in it. Help is appreciated. Thanks.

yes this is very common. it is related to body flex. my '87 Formula has this same issue and it is a coupe. and ever other 3rd gen f-body with a few miles ive seen has this problem. don't know how to fix it but i'd say sub-frame connectors would prevent more cracking.

I've seen it more on Hardtops than on T-tops but it is common.
