89 Trans Am GTA
Hi,
Me and my dad are looking at an 89 Trans Am GTA for sale. I was wondering if it was commom on the b-pillars where they touch the t-tops, is it commom for there to be a crack with some rust in it. Help is appreciated. Thanks. -Nick P-

I have seen quite a few cars with this, even some second gens.

yes this is very common. it is related to body flex. my '87 Formula has this same issue and it is a coupe. and ever other 3rd gen f-body with a few miles ive seen has this problem. don't know how to fix it but i'd say sub-frame connectors would prevent more cracking.

I've seen it more on Hardtops than on T-tops but it is common.
