65 GTO fusible link
I'm in the process of going through my engine harness before reinstalling it into my '65 and started wondering about a fusible link.
Is there a fusible link in a '65 GTO engine (or headlight) wiring harness? I haven't found a reference to one in my factory service manual, but it is mentioned in my '67 service manual. Searching the archives there seems to be some mystery regarding this issue. If there is one, where is it? If not, would it be wise to add one (or a fuse?) for additional protection in the event of a short? If so, where should I add it? |

fuse links
there are not any fuse links listed for this year car. the fuse links started showing up in later years. Most of the circuits are fused at the fuse block, the only wires that are not fused are the main Black, and main Reds which come off a main feed. Heavy circuits like air conditioning, power windows, electric seats ect. were handled by a circuit breaker in the system. some of the light switches even had a bimetal circuit breaker in them to protect from heavy surges or shorts.
