Head Porting - DFW Area
I'm building up a 400 street / slight strip motor (whatever that means) and am trying to keep myself from blowing money right and left. I wanted a little port work done on a set of 6x 4 cast iron heads but didn't want to pay shipping 2-ways because I am cheap. My engine builder recommended a guy here in the Dallas area and I am pretty impressed with him. We haven't bolted the heads on yet, but I got them back yesterday. He told me it would take 4 weeks, actually took 3. The flow numbers are not spectacular, but I got more than I paid for, which was $400.

He's been recommended a few times here on this forum: Lloyd Elliott Elliott's Portworks eportworks.com 972-617-5671 |

Another thumbs up for Lloyd Elliott. I met him when he was recommended to do my LT1 heads several years ago, he's very well known and accomplished in LT1 and LS1 crowd. Excellent customer service, honest, and always helpful with any questions. I recommend him highly and I plan to take him some cast iron poncho heads soon.

This is great to hear. I am in the DFW area occasionally, and it sounds like I need to go visit Mr. Elliott. Great post - thanks for the tip.

I give another HUGE thumbs up to Lloyd Elliot. He just finished my KRE d-ports. Started out flowing 235 cfm and now flow 300cfm. All that for $400 and they were done a week earlier than I thought!
